So, we all know that traffic is the most essential aspect to a successful internet based business. Once you have a great product to sell, and you have your company’s internal organization well taken care of, the next step is generating quality traffic.

Timing is essential, that’s an old adage known to everyone. When generating traffic, you should always be on your toes and be a day ahead of everyone else. Never think of today and tomorrow as a starting point for making your site traffic laden, it should always have been yesterday.

Google’s Adwords and Yahoo’s Overture provide great advertising schemes that are very truly popular and assures great traffic. Although with this surefire way to increase your traffic will cost some money. While some would shy away from spending money to increase traffic, it is imperative in this case to do so because Adwords and Overture are the top surefire ways to increase your traffic. You can see for yourself the success these search engine advertising methods produce. Thousands of companies bid on hundreds of thousands of keywords everyday to earn the visit from a few. Lots of sites feature these advertising systems and many have signed on to reap the benefits. Do not be left behind. Every penny is worth it when using paid search engine advertising. You can also get search engine traffic for free. Search engines crawl hundreds of thousands of sites everyday looking for certain keywords that they would show in their results page. In doing so, having the right keyword and keyword phrase is a high requirement in ranking search engine results. You could write your own content or you could hire someone to do it for you.

2) Exchange or Trade Links with other sites

When exchanging links with other sites, both parties will benefit from your efforts to enhance your sites traffic. When one site features another sites link, they are providing the opportunity for visitors of their site to visit your site. The efforts are doubly beneficial because it would seem like both of you are working to generate more traffic together. The more links traded with more sites the more traffic can be expected. It is important that you link with sites that offer similar products or services. If you link to a real estate site and you operate a company that sells automobile tires, more than likely that link will not generate a lot of traffic!

3) Use Viral Marketing

Viral marketing allows you to spread the word about your company and product with minimal costs if not free. This is a marketing method that can be quite sneaky; you can attach your company’s name, product or link to a certain media such as a funny video, entertaining game, an interesting article or a gossip or buzz. With this method, people get infected with the creativity and entertainment of the medium that they will pass it on to many people.

4) Utilize Traffic, Banner and Text Exchanges.

These types of sites generally trade the viewing of your site or advertisement in exchange for your viewing someone else’s. They can be very beneficial in the production of traffic. There are many on the internet and this number grows everyday. Try to find those that are most popular and stick with them. Often times you can promote them between each other and create a network of sites working for you.

5) Write Articles that can lead traffic to your site

Submit articles to sites that would contain the same subject that your site deals in. If you sell car parts write press releases and articles about cars and car parts. Attach your sites description and services at the end of the article as well as the link.

6) Join forums and form online communities

The most important thing to remember when visiting forums or communities is many are specialized in what their topics contain. Don’t go blasting into a music oriented forum pitching your jewelry! Your sure to be banned before you know what happened. However, capture a market and show your expertise and that you have credibility. Simply start with a signature advertisement if they allow such. Become involved in the community and post information that the members will be interested in, or find captivating. When you have found a good foundation for your site, people will trust you and your site and will they will pass it on to many people they trust. Traffic will certainly increase because they know that you can provide what they need.This is however one of the slowest traffic generating strategies as many times it takes a little while to build that trust, but once you have gained their trust it can spread like a wildfire. If your patient and you follow proper etiquette, you may find yourself selling bunches of jewelry at a music forum!

7) Lastly, Offer newsletters.

If many people know what you are about and they are interested in what you offer, keep them up to date with whats going on and they will continue to visit. If you arouse the curiosity of your customers by periodically tickling them with your feather they would be pushed to help you with your traffic by visiting often and recommending you to others who share the same interests. A newsletter keeps your visitors coming back for more, provided you continue to supply more for them to come back to!

What a wonderful relaxing day, today turned out to be! The weather here was fantastic… about 15 degrees above normal with bright sunshine. Yesterday was warm but nasty with rain. There were actually a few tornado’s touch down not far from my house! Of course if you live in the mid west you are crunching through all that snow! What, Denver, Colorodo got hit with its 3rd blizzard in as many weeks?! My prayers go out to you folks… I like snow, but thats a little much!

Wow… the weekend is here! It seems like only yesterday was Monday and we had started the Web Biz Solutions Birthday Bash. Think thats maybe ’cause I haven’t slept all week?

It really has been a productive week and I am proud of the members that have participated in our contest. Lets shoot for a record weekend and surf til you drop

I haven’t talleyed up the individual top surfers, but it looks to be pretty close for top honors for the week. Vasilios hitting the Jack Pot in Craps surf certainly helped his cause! Congratulations Vasilios… it doesn’t happen often, but its totally gratifying when it does!! We still haven’t figured out what to reward the top surfer for the week, but we still have two good days… Saturday and Sunday to determine a winner… Happy Surfing!

Happy Friday Everyone,

I wanted to start todays intro talking about MySpace. I just yesterday created an account there and came to the conclusion that I should have done it a long time ago! It is a great marketing tool as the members there are looking for everything under the sun! Its amazing the number of people that go there and hang out.
